As part of St. George’s service outreach this year, we have committed again with other Trumbull faith-based churches, communities, and organizations to participate in a coordinated food drive organized by the Refill the Pantry program which will support the Trumbull Food Pantry.

Part of this commitment, we will be participating in 2 food drives in 2026 supporting the Trumbull Food Pantry – the first one for March 22nd,  and the second one will be October 24th.

UPDATE from March 4th:  Last year in 2025, totals for the Trumbull Food Pantry collections were 8,570 pounds and $3,670.  That's about a 56% increase in food and a 93% increase in financial donations over 2024.  Specifically in 2024, Refill the Pantry drives for Trumbull had donations of 5,500 lbs of food and $1,900 in donations.  About 200 families in Trumbull continue to use the Trumbull Food Pantry.

We are asking parishioners to donate shelf-stable pantry and personal care items and bring them to the church hall by Sunday, March 22nd.

St. George will also be forwarding its cash Charity Tray donations during the month of March to the Trumbull Food Pantry.  Parishioners can participate by shopping for pantry food items, making a cash donation, or doing both.
