FOCUS Bridgeport: Volunteer Opportunities

Serving Bridgeport with Faith, Food, and Fellowship

In every city there are neighbors who feel unseen, unheard, or forgotten. FOCUS Bridgeport exists to change that by bringing people together around the table in a spirit of hospitality, dignity, and Christ-centered service.

What began as a shared vision among Orthodox Christians from parishes across the region is growing into an active ministry serving children and families in partnership with a nearby school and surrounding community in the east end of Bridgeport.

Volunteers are essential to this ministry and the local Orthodox churches are at the heart of everything we do.We warmly invite you to get involved. It’s a meaningful way to put our faith into action and serve our neighbors with love.

Upcoming volunteer opportunities:
●      May 7 – Family Night at Beardsley School: hot meal service & Mother’s Day celebration
●      May 14 – Afterschool Snack Bag Distribution (Beardsley School)
●      May 30 – Monthly Community Meal (Holy Ghost Church)
●      June 11 – Afterschool Snack Bag Distribution (Beardsley School)
●      June 27 – Monthly Community Meal (Holy Ghost Church)
