St. George held a special Service of Prayer on Wednesday, August 21st to ask for God's blessing and healing for the community of our sister parish of St. John the Baptist Church in South Boston.  A  fire destroyed the St. John the Baptist church building on Wednesday morning.  Fortunately, no one was in the building at the time, although some of the firefighters were injured.  We ask God’s blessings on the parish Rector Archpriest John Scollard, the faithful community and future of Saint John the Baptist Church, as well as the injured firefighters.
