Services held on Great & Holy Friday - 2025

On Friday, April 18th, St. George completed services that were held on Great and Holy Friday (Good Friday).  The first service was the afternoon Vespers service of Taking down from the Cross, and the second was held on Friday evening, the Matins service for Great and Holy Saturday, with the Praises (or Lamentations) at the Tomb of Christ.  Below please find several photos from these services.

The Choir and parishioners follow the Holy Shroud in the Burial Procession of Christ. Parishioners enter back to the church after the procession under the Holy Shroud and kiss the Book of Gospels which Fr. Sergei was holding.
