Archdiocesan Assembly & Episcopal Ordination of Bishop Nikodhim - Sept 15 & 16, 2023On Friday, September 15, 2023, the Albanian Orthodox Archdiocese in America held it’s annual Archdiocesan Assembly at St. George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral in Boston. At that Assembly, the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America canonically elected Archimandrite Nikodhim to Diocesan Bishop of the Albanian Orthodox Archdiocese.
The next day, on Saturday September 16th at a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy presided by His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, Archimandrite Nikodhim was consecrated to the episcopacy of the Albanian Orthodox Archdiocese in America. The consecration was held at St. George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral.
St. George wishes to thank Cathy Hotova and Bob Lazar who represented our parish as delegates to the Assembly on Friday. Additionally, we thank Laura Coughlin and Karen Masek who attended the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and Ordination on Saturday. Finally, thanks to Pauline Dionis, Curt & Nicole Dionis and their daughters Brooke & Sophie who on Sunday, September 17th attended Bishop Nikodhim’s first service as our Diocesan Bishop.
