Celebrating the Feast of Pentecost - 2024St. George celebrated the Feast of Pentecost on Sunday, June 23rd with Divine Liturgy immediately followed by the Kneeling Vespers. The Feast commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit and is also seen as the culmination of the revelation of the Holy Trinity.
The Troparian for Pentecost: Blessed art You O Christ Our God / You have revealed the fishermen as most wise / By sending down upon them the Holy Spirit / Through them You drew the world into Your net / O Lover of Man, Glory to You!
